The pillow is high quality foam, medium density. The cover is a smooth, pleasant to touch velour with a zip so you can wash it. When reading in bed or sleeping on your back it is pleasant to use it as a support for your knees. I imagine it would be good on your low back in a chair as well.

lost my slightly more expensive one at a hotel during a trip and couldnt bring myself to buy another one but this was less expensive and i cannot really say there's a lot of difference. the cover isnt pretty (the green.. ick) but when my eyes are closed, who notices!
